textured tree canvas

Here is the latest picture made with a mix of filler and silicone. I did a quick watercolour background after I had smeared the mix on the canvas and left it overnight to dry, having first sprinkled itwith beads coloured with 2 shades of green alcohol inks.

I washed over the tree and bush areas with watercolours today and added morebeads using glossy accents to stick them down.

small canvas

I have been playing with a small canvas and glitter today.I made a mix of wall filler and silicone stirred in some glitter and tiny beads and smeared it onto the canvas.I left it to dry for a while, but areas were sticky from the silicone,so I sprinkled more glitter on those areas. I had die cut some foil food trays and coloured the cuts with alcohol inks and peel off pens.I glued these to the picture and added small gems for flower centres.the frame was a plain wood one painted with soft green acrylic over a base of white emulsion and gently distressed.

cutting with dies

This is probably how most people do it, but I have some friends new to die cutting so I thought I would add pics of how I use diecuts to measure how much grungeboard needed for a cut. There is such a lot of wasted space, inevitably, on the bigz dies and some materials, such as grungeboard are too expensive to waste.
