I have belatedly picked up this lovely award from my friend Heike. Thank you Heike. Sorry I am useless at linking and will need help from my Claire to finish the job and link it and choose who to pass it to. I think I can manage the 5 things about me.
1 Is obvious, I am useless at blogging, but trying hard.
2 I am addicted to crafting now but when she got me started I told my daughter she was mad to spend so much on a hobby.
3 I think I am almost as bad as she is at spending money on stash.
4 My family mean the world to me.
5 I hate driving.

Where is your mobile..... Not got one as I am too deaf to hear it ring.
Hair... was blonde but rapidly turning silver.
Fave food.... roast lamb with all the trimmings.

What are you wearing.... Polo neck top and jogging bottoms.

Fave eating place... The Brig O Doon, Alloway. Too far away to go to often but I love it.

I have been busy making Christmas cards and cd albums for weeks now. I kept one cd back to make into a tree bauble as the colours looked christmassy.

I have still not managed to restore my lists, but hope Claire will be able to lend a hand soon.

Its been a while since I really explored blogs. I came on tonight to have a good look at what my friends were doing. I wanted to add a friend to my list and tried to do that. I also decided to remove one as he has given up blogging. Being me, I have managed to delete my entire list. Luckily I still have my blogs I follow list on the dashboard. I have wasted ages trying to restore my list. I hope Claire will be able to help me restore it tomorrow. Sigh!

Mini album , the rest of it.

I couldn't fit it all into one post, so this is the rest of the album. It is for my daughter.

I decided to try something different using Nestabilities as I felt they must be good for other things besides matting. This is the result.

This fabulous quilt was entirely hand sewn by my Aunt as a wedding gift for my daughter. It took 2 years to make and I think it is stunning. The photos just don't do it justice. Every panel has been hand embroidered and each represents a different month of the year. The colours are much more beautiful than in the photos.

This is the Aunt for whom I have made the 2 albums. They are just a trifle compared to this wonderful piece of folk art.

Cd albums are very simple to do. Collect a few dud cds and either treat with alcohol inks or cover with papers. Cut holes with a cropodile, using the first to position all the others so they align properly. Add 2 binding rings, then decorate however you wish. The central holes can either be filled with a gem, or just cover with your pics or embellishments.

Its such a long time since I last posted anything here. I have been too busy crafting to spend much time on other things. These are some of the pages in my new album. Its for an Aunt who is in her 80s and as she lives in Canada she has missed a few family occasions. I have tucked loads of pics into the folds and also between the pages but still have some I want to send her so I am doing a cd album to go with this. The cd one has been alcohol inked rather than covered with papers. I am about half way through it. i hope she will like them. She is the lady in the first picture. It was taken the last time she was over here. The picture inside the album cover is an encaustic which I did some time ago. It reminds me of Scotland, as both she and I were born and raised there I thought it would appeal to her.

Art Nouveau cards.

I recently won a pack of stamps, papers and double cd in a giveaway in Cardmaking and Papercraft mag. It was the Art Nouveau collection from My Craft Studio and these are some of the cards I made from it. The images are painted with H2Os and Cosmic Shimmers. I have been considering buying some of the promarkers but have decided I am much happier with a paintbrush than with marker pens.

My son liked my cd album so I have done one for him. These are some of the "pages" in his album.I will be taking it to him later this month, but put it here so he can have a sneak preview.

I have finished my smirk album at last.I had to do this paper for a me page as the little girl reminds me of when I was young and had pigtails.

This page is for my daughters LLB album and for Eiglas' latest cgallenge on the SB forum on Trimcraft. The papers are a mix of Retro Rose and Me & my Big Ideas. The font is Hippie Chick, the oval and dahlias are nestabilities and the stamp is Retro Rose.
