Deco ladies

The current Trimcraft challenge is for decoupage,so I was looking through my stash and decided to try some deco ladies.

This is probably how most people do it, but I have some friends new to die cutting so I thought I would add pics of how I use diecuts to measure how much grungeboard needed for a cut. There is such a lot of wasted space, inevitably, on the bigz dies and some materials,such as grungeboard are too expensive to waste.

It is our 40th wedding anniversary the week before valentines day, so I have made these for my Best Beloved. Everyone said we were mad to elope and it would never last, well, 40 years is lasting in my book. I would still marry him even if I could go back knowing what I know now.

My Craft Stamper magazine was very late this month and I was getting itchy fingers waiting for it to come. I love watch/ time /gears stamps and couldn't wait to use this one. It is far more my style than the cup and saucer from last month. Not doing the obvious pun here!

I have a box full of painted images just waiting to be put onto cards.The dining table is my craft area but some evenings I want to have the TV on , so sit in my armchair with a folding table and paint images instead of dragging all my craft stuff out. Or I will do some decoupage, but much less often now I have a nice collection of stamps. If I want to actually watch TV I generally either knit or crochet. My OH tells me most folk just sit and watch the box,lol, but I am much too fidgetty for that.
